Why Coaching?

More than ever before, managers and leaders at all levels of an organization are tasked with developing and improving the performance of their employees. Managers improve performance by helping individuals become empowered to solve their own problems and make their own decisions.

The CoachWORKS program is built on the GROW model of coaching and incorporates the latest sports performance technology into a practical, hands-on business coaching model. Participants learn effective coaching skills by coaching each other through several rounds of current challenges they are experiencing in the workplace. As the course progresses, each round adds more in-depth skill development.

The program also incorporates a learning laboratory that uses golf putting as the medium for learning the importance of awareness It raises questions that increase focus and reduce performance-inhibiting interference. One session produces rapid performance improvement with each participant gaining valuable insight about the process of performance improvement.

Learn How You Learn

CoachWORKS: Partnering for Improved Results addresses the importance of coaching as a highly effective style of leading and managing others. Daniel Goleman's six leadership styles are introduced. Participants have the opportunity to tap into their own style preferences as well as look at alternative leadership styles to improve their ability to lead and manage others.

Participants learn how style flexibility enhances the working climate, leading to improved bottom line results. They learn how to ask questions that help focus them on their own experiences. The result is a searching reflection that allows each student to learn more effectively from those experiences.

CoachWORKS helps individuals learn the value of coaching others while gaining powerful personal insights that improve performance and enhance results. The training helps participants learn how to learn, which strengthens personal problem solving and decision-making capabilities while improving personal growth and development.

Learning Process

The learning process includes theory and practical hands-on application of all skills to current business challenges. The training also implements video examples of desirable leadership styles as well as experiential exercises and role-play opportunities. Concepts and skills are readily adapted to use in the workplace.
